About the Role
Associated Security with Anvil Locksmiths are seeking an experienced Service Engineer to join our Service Department. This role is primarily focused on safes and locksmithing, with additional involvement in access control systems. You will be responsible for delivering high\-quality service and support to customers while maintaining the company’s professional standards and reputation.
This is a mobile role requiring travel across Scotland.
The successful candidate will also participate in an on\-call rota approximately once per month to cover out\-of\-hours urgent service work.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, repair, and maintain a wide range of safes, door locks, and locking systems, including mechanical, digital, and electrical locks.
- Cut and manage all types of keys, including mortice and cylinder keys.
- Provide locksmith and mechanical repairs where required.
- Deliver excellent customer service, maintaining strong relationships and high service standards.
- Maintain accurate service records and a growing library of technical service information.
- Support and assist other service engineers to ensure effective and efficient service delivery.
- Follow established procedures to ensure efficient job completion and closure.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with the call desk.
- Manage van stock control, logging on and off customer systems as required.
- Respond to urgent out\-of\-hours call\-outs when on the on\-call rota.
- Extensive experience within the locksmith industry or a closely related field.
- Strong understanding of modern and traditional locking systems, including electronic and mechanical locks.
- Recognised locksmith training.
- Willingness and ability to train on new products and systems.
- Experience working as a mobile service engineer.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to participate in an out\-of\-hours on\-call rota.
- Professional attitude with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Experience working with safes and locks.
- Knowledge of access control systems.
- Relevant locksmith qualifications.
