Service Engineer
BFT has been growing rapidly over the last 5 years and therefore we are seeking proactive and reliable team players to join us and carry out inspections, servicing, repairs, and maintenance of our fleet of MCWP rental equipment to ensure smooth operating.
To be successful in this role you will need qualifications in electrical and/or mechanical systems and experience within the powered access industry. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be computer literate, and be able to lift and carry a toolbox and test weights that can weigh up to 25kg. They will be self\-disciplined and able to use their own initiative. They must be comfortable working at heights in all weather conditions. They should be reliable and ethical with a commitment to delivering high\-quality work. Health and safety are key in our industry so they must have a strong understanding of how to minimise risks.
*Duties \& responsibilities*
- Troubleshooting, installation, maintenance and repair on MCWP
- Completing preventative maintenance and field modifications, mechanical and electrical
- Managing repair parts availability on vehicle
- Driving a Van with trailer
- Keeping up to date on administrative responsibilities such as internal service records and Breakdown attendance in a timely manner
- Maintaining daily communications with the Office to ensure resolution and proper follow\-up
- Maintaining tools and test equipment
- Ensure safe working practices are followed in all areas and be an ardent champion of safety in line with both the Company and legal requirements
- ensure compliance with current Health \& Safety policies and procedures including SHEQ Responsibility Statements
- ensure proper recording of all accidents and near miss occurrences
- ensure all employees, visitors and sub\-contractors comply with Company and legislative Health and Safety policies
- ensure that all required PPE is worn and is fit for purpose \-report any concerns immediately to Supervisor
- Utilising the escalation process to resolve MCWP service issues
- Comply with all Company policies and procedures as well as legislation
- Ensure effective communications at all levels
- Ensure compliance to the SHEQ Responsibility Statements and Policies
- Engaging and liaising with supervisors to find solutions to possible on\-site problems
- Willing to help others and use own initiative to complete tasks within H \& S guidelines
Pay: £12\.71\-£15\.00 per hour
