Service Administrator / Controller
Salary: £28,228\.20 per year

We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Central Controller to join our team. In this key role, you will oversee and manage customer service requests, allocate work to engineers, and ensure smooth daily operations—all while maintaining excellent customer service and operational efficiency.

What You'll Do:
· Manage customers’ vehicle availability and downtime effectively.
· Manage and monitor sub\-contract service provision where applicable.
· Supervise field and site\-based staff to ensure efficient performance within company policies and the Working Time Directive.
· Ensure effective communication is maintained at all times with customers, end users, depots, and internal teams.
· Deal with customer enquiries and orders in a professional and timely manner, ensuring potential sales are converted into confirmed orders.
· Work effectively with the Contracts department to ensure all customer bookings are achieved, and proactively communicate with customers in the event of delays or issues.
· Support the administration department to ensure smooth billing processes and administrative control of all jobs.
· Identify required parts, prepare information for customer estimates, and order parts to predetermined locations.
· Ensure accurate, timely, and complete adherence to all company administrative and operational procedures.
· Maintain accurate computer and operational system records.
· Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation and all relevant ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
· Ensure accounting and operational deadlines are met.
· Refer issues outside own decision\-making authority to the Control Team Leader or Location Manager.
· Undertake any other duties that the company may reasonably request from time to time.
What We're Looking For:
✅ Minimum 1 year of experience in an administrative, operations, or customer support role.
✅ Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
✅ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
✅ Strong Organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads.
✅ A team player with a proactive and problem\-solving mindset.
