Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Travel Sales Consultant to join our remote sales team. This is a home\-based role suited to a confident travel professional with strong sales ability, excellent destination knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
The successful candidate will manage enquiries, build tailored travel experiences, maximise sales opportunities, and maintain high conversion rates while working within a structured and disciplined remote\-working environment.
Key Responsibilities
Sales \& Customer Service
- Handle inbound and outbound travel enquiries via phone, email, video call, and online platforms.
- Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings through consultative selling techniques.
- Build bespoke holiday itineraries tailored to customer needs and budgets.
- Upsell additional products including insurance, excursions, upgrades, transfers, and lounges.
- Maintain excellent product knowledge across destinations, airlines, cruise lines, touring products, and luxury travel suppliers.
- Deliver outstanding customer service from initial enquiry through to post\-travel follow\-up.
- Manage repeat business and develop long\-term customer relationships.
- Process bookings accurately using reservation systems and supplier portals.
- Ensure all booking documentation and payment schedules are completed correctly.
- Resolve customer issues professionally and efficiently.
- Maintain CRM records and follow\-up schedules.
- Meet individual sales targets, KPIs, and quality standards.
- Maintain a professional and distraction\-free home office environment.
- Follow structured daily workflow and availability requirements.
- Ensure reliable internet connection and secure handling of customer data.
- Attend virtual team meetings, training sessions, and supplier webinars.
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in travel sales.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Strong knowledge of worldwide travel products and destinations.
- Experience using GDS or travel reservation systems.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Self\-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Strong organisational and time\-management skills.
- Comfortable working in a structured remote environment.
- Luxury, long\-haul, cruise, or tailor\-made travel experience.
- Homeworking or remote sales experience.
- Experience with CRM systems and remote collaboration tools.
- Social media or online lead generation experience.
