Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are seeking a talented Senior Town Planner to join their expanding team.
The Opportunity This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded planner with private sector experience to work across a diverse portfolio of projects, including residential, mixed-use, commercial, retail, student accommodation, heritage, and strategic land developments.
You will play a key role in managing planning applications and appeals, providing strategic planning advice to clients, and contributing to business development activities. The successful candidate will enjoy direct client exposure and the opportunity to work alongside some of the industry's leading planning professionals.
Key Responsibilities • Managing a varied caseload of planning projects from inception through to determination.
- Preparing and coordinating planning applications, appeals, and supporting documentation.
- Providing clear and commercially focused planning advice to clients.
- Liaising with local authorities, consultees, architects, and other stakeholders.
- Undertaking policy research and planning appraisals.
- Supporting junior members of the team and contributing to their development.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Assisting with business development initiatives and new project opportunities.
- Degree qualified in Town Planning or a related discipline.
- Proven experience within a private sector planning consultancy environment.
- Strong knowledge of the UK planning system, particularly within London and the South East.
- Experience managing planning applications and client relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
