Senior Support Worker / Team Leader — Supported Living (16–18s)Role Overview
We’re seeking a confident Senior Support Worker / Team Leader to help run a supported‑living service for young people aged 16–18\. You’ll lead shifts, guide staff, and ensure a safe, structured environment that supports young people toward independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Shift leadership — supervise Support Workers, delegate tasks, and maintain service standards
- Safeguarding oversight — ensure policies are followed, manage incidents, complete reports
- Support planning — update risk assessments, support plans, and daily records
- Young person support — promote life skills, education, emotional wellbeing, and community engagement
- Professional liaison — communicate with social workers, agencies, and families
- Staff development — mentor new staff and model best practice
- Compliance — uphold company policies and Ofsted‑aligned standards
- Experience supporting vulnerable young people (ideally 16–18\)
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and risk management
- Confident team leadership and decision‑making
- Excellent communication and record‑keeping
- Level 3 qualification (or working towards)
- Enhanced DBS
- Experience in supported living or semi‑independent services
- Knowledge of trauma‑informed practice
- Full UK driving licence
