Senior Structural Engineer
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail\-oriented Senior Structural Engineer to join our recently established, quality focussed engineering practice. You will be responsible for designing, analysing, and overseeing the construction of various structures, as well as undertaking surveys, writing reports and specifications etc.
The ideal candidate will possess strong understanding of engineering principles, be proficient in relevant software tools, be independently driven and meticulous, and be able to undertake drawing tasks associated with their designs.
Duties
- Design and analyse structural systems in all major material groups, for a range of projects (Including new build schemes, refurbishment, structural surveys etc).
- Collaborate closely with architects and others to develop cohesive project designs and specifications.
- Utilise software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Masterseries and Tekla Structural Designer for design and drawing purposes.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.
- Prepare clear, concise but sufficiently detailed reports and documentation.
- Manage their own projects and clients deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Provide technical support during the construction phase, addressing any issues that arise.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to enhance design practices.
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or a related field or finishing a Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering.
- Proficiency in engineering software including AutoCAD, Revit, Masterseries, Tekla Structural Designer are essential.
- Professional qualification with either the ICE or IStructE is preferable but not essential.
- Experience managing projects is essential.
- Excellent problem\-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in all engineering practices.
Must be able to work in the UK and be a full UK resident.
Must hold a UK driving licence and have access to a car.

Pay: £40,000\.00\-£52,000\.00 per year
