We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the technical excellence and scalability of our SaaS Employee Experience platform. You will serve as a senior hands-on engineer within your team - designing and implementing complex features, improving system performance and reliability, and supporting the growth of other engineers. 
This role is a key technical contributor within the engineering team. You will translate architectural guidance into robust, maintainable implementations and contribute to architectural discussions through strong technical execution and domain expertise. 
The ideal candidate brings solid SaaS experience, hands-on exposure to AWS managed & serverless technologies, and a strong understanding of distributed systems and modern software engineering best practices. 
Key Responsibilities 
<ul>
<li>Design and develop high-quality, scalable systems and services aligned with architectural standards and product requirements. </li>
<li>Implement microservices and APIs with strong emphasis on maintainability, performance, observability, and reliability. </li>
<li>Own complex features or components from design through deployment, including testing, monitoring, and operational support. </li>
<li>Collaborate closely with Principal Engineers, Architects, Product Managers, and DevOps to ensure high-quality and consistent delivery. </li>
<li>Build and enhance services leveraging AWS serverless, event-driven, and container-based technologies (Lambda, ECS, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB, Event-Bridge, RDS, etc.). </li>
<li>Ensure solutions adhere to authentication, authorization, and security best practices (OAuth2, OIDC, RBAC, etc.). </li>
<li>Participate in code reviews and uphold best practices in coding, design, testing, and CI/CD pipelines. </li>
<li>Support observability initiatives by contributing to metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting improvements. </li>
<li>Proactively identify and address technical debt, reliability risks, and areas for continuous improvement. </li>
<li>Contribute to compliance and data protection requirements including GDPR and PII handling best practices. </li>
<li>Participate actively in agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes. </li>
<li>Demonstrate alignment with company values and promote an inclusive, collaborative engineering culture. </li>
</ul>
Education & Experience 
<ul>
<li>5–8 years of software development experience delivering production-grade applications in distributed or SaaS environments. </li>
<li>Strong experience in either Node.js / TypeScript (including asynchronous programming and modular architecture) or Java (Spring Boot, concurrency, RESTful services), and familiarity with React (or similar modern front-end frameworks). </li>
<li>Solid understanding of distributed systems, multi-tenancy concepts, RBAC, and SaaS security principles. </li>
<li>Hands-on experience with Microservices Architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS cloud services a plus. </li>
<li>Experience implementing observability best practices (metrics, logging, tracing, alerting). </li>
<li>Working knowledge of event-driven systems (Kafka, SNS/SQS, Event-Bridge, Kinesis). </li>
<li>Experience contributing to CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and automated testing (JUnit, Jest, Playwright, etc.). </li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to design for scalability, performance, and fault tolerance within a defined product domain. </li>
<li>Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CDK) is desirable. </li>
<li>Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex production issues. </li>
<li>Effective communication skills with technical and cross-functional stakeholders. </li>
