JOB MISSION

Luxinnovation is looking for a professional with a passion for advanced technologies to coordinate the Luxembourg Chips Competence Centre (LU\-CCC), established under the EU Chips Act and supported by the Digital Europe Programme / Chips Joint Undertaking.

This strategic role places you at the heart of Europe's semiconductor ecosystem, acting as the bridge between national stakeholders and European initiatives.

You will work in close collaboration with a European Digital Project Coordinator who handles project management, reporting and administrative obligations to the European Commission. This partnership allows you to focus on strategic coordination, ecosystem development and stakeholder engagement.

As LU\-CCC Coordinator, you will ensure the operational, strategic and ecosystem coordination of Luxembourg's national competence centre for semiconductors and advanced chip technologies.

Your key objectives:

  • Serve as Luxinnovation's single point of coordination for the Chips Competence Centre at national and European level

  • Drive industry uptake of semiconductor technologies, with a strong focus on startups and SMEs

  • Ensure alignment between Luxinnovation services, national research and innovation actors, and European semiconductor initiatives

  • Position Luxembourg as a credible and visible partner in the European semiconductor ecosystem
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Inspire

  • Organise and lead national and European working groups on semiconductor related topics (chip design, advanced computing, AI enabled chips, hardware security)

  • Contribute expert input to events, workshops and European coordination activities related to the Chips ecosystem

  • Support communication and visibility actions highlighting Luxembourg’s role in European semiconductor initiatives

  • Monitor market trends, EU policies and funding programmes relevant to semiconductors and advanced digital infrastructures
Assess \& Accelerate
  • Understand companies’ technological and innovation needs, with particular attention to semiconductor readiness and adoption barriers

  • Position and articulate LU\-CCC and Luxinnovation services clearly and consistently to drive industry uptake of semiconductor technologies, with a strong focus on startups and SMEs

  • Support access to technology transfer pathways, funding schemes, and collaborative R\&D projects
Connect
  • Build and animate a national semiconductor ecosystem connecting startups, SMEs, industrial players, research organisations, universities, technology and infrastructure providers (HPC, AI, secure computing), and European semiconductor networks

  • Facilitate cross\-sector and cross\-border collaborations within the European value chain, particularly across the Greater Region

  • Ensure effective follow up and coordination of activities through structured relationship management
Fund
  • Coordinate the Luxembourg Chips Competence Centre (LU\-CCC) in line with the EU Chips Act objectives and grant agreement obligations under the Digital Europe Programme

  • Act as national coordinator and interface with European partners (Chips Joint Undertaking, European Chips Competence Centres network, EDIHs, pilot lines)

  • Ensure coherence, quality and timely delivery of LU\-CCC activities (first entry point services, technology transfer, training, funding facilitation, ecosystem development)

  • Contribute to EU level reporting, performance monitoring and KPIs, in collaboration with internal project management and finance teams

  • Support the definition and continuous update of the national semiconductor roadmap in line with European priorities

  • Increase industry engagement, particularly among startups and SMEs new to the semiconductor domain

  • Drive conversion from awareness to concrete projects, partnerships and funding successes

  • Track and contribute to impact indicators (engagement, training uptake, partnerships, funding outcomes)

  • Work closely with internal teams and partners to integrate semiconductor activities into Luxembourg’s broader digital and industrial innovation strategies
*This list is not exhaustive. Additional tasks may be assigned to the holder of the job.*
