Since 2016 we have built Vintage Threads into one of the most recognised names in curated vintage. We run stores in Soho, Covent Garden, Selfridges and Amsterdam alongside a growing online business and our own Rework studio. Our customers come to us for pieces they cannot find anywhere else. Our aim to give them a first class service and give them an experience that goes beyond their expectations.

The role

This is not a standard shop floor position. As Senior Sales Advisor you will deliver excellent day to day retail service across our Covent Garden and Soho stores, while also helping to expand and improve the relationship with some of our number one customers. Along with bringing new ones into the business, increasing the relationships with stylists and personal shoppers.

Key responsibilities

Clienteling and VIP development

• Build, own and grow a personal client book across both stores


• Develop the VIP network in Covent Garden and Soho, identifying and nurturing high potential customers


• Host private and personal shopping appointments, curating edits tailored to each client


• Reconnect lapsed clients and turn one time buyers into repeat customers

• Take the lead on selling premium, rare and archive pieces above £800


• Tell the story behind each piece with genuine product knowledge and confidence


• Hit and exceed personal and store sales targets

• Deliver a high standard of service to every customer, VIP or not. Anything is possible when it comes to creating an amazing shopping experience for the customers.


• Support daily store operations including opening and closing, stock, merchandising and standards


• Keep both stores looking their best and reflecting the brand


• Set the standard for the wider store team as a senior member of staff

Essential

• Proven experience in premium, luxury or high end retail, ideally with a personal client book


• A track record of building customer relationships that drive repeat sales


• Comfortable and confident selling items above £800


• Naturally warm, personable and able to make people feel looked after


• Self motivated and target driven, with the discipline to follow up and stay in touch


• Genuine interest in vintage, fashion or style


• Flexible on location, happy to work across both Covent Garden and Soho with the potential to work in other locations if needed.


• Available to work weekends

• An existing network of clients or contacts in fashion, vintage or luxury


• Knowledge of vintage, designer or archive fashion


• Experience with clienteling or CRM tools


• Comfortable being on camera or involved in content, given our social presence

• Competitive base salary plus daily commission
