Senior Safety Engineer – MOD / Trials (SC Cleared) Contract Inside IR35

Job Summary
We are seeking SC\-cleared Safety Engineers( Active SC) to support MOD programmes across trials and general safety delivery roles. Multiple positions are available at mid and senior levels, with day rates varying depending on experience and role. This is an opportunity to work on high\-profile defence projects in a fast\-paced, regulated environment.

Duties

• Develop and support Safety Cases, Safety Management Plans and safety documentation


• Maintain Hazard Logs and risk assessments (HAZID / HAZOP)


• Support trial planning and execution, ensuring safe delivery of activities


• Interface with MOD stakeholders, suppliers, and range providers


• Ensure compliance with MOD safety standards (Def Stan, ASEMS, JSPs)


• Contribute to risk management and safety governance activities

• Proven experience as a Safety Engineer within MOD / Defence programmes


• Strong experience in Safety Case development and hazard management (HAZID / HAZOP / Hazard Logs)


• Experience working with MOD standards (Def Stan, ASEMS, JSPs)


• Experience engaging with DSA / DOSR or other assurance authorities


• Exposure to trials, testing, or complex system delivery environments


• Active SC Clearance (or previously held and eligible)

Experience:

• Defence Safety Engineering: 3 years (preferred)


• Hazard logs: 2 years (preferred)


• MOD Safety Cases: 3 years (preferred)

• Security Clearance (required)
