Hours:

Monthly contracted hours – between 150 – 170 hours, pro rota, dependent upon rota patterns and days in each month.

Essential Criteria:

\- QCF Level 3/4 Residential Childcare/Level 3/4 Diploma Children and Young People’s Workforce

\- The applicant must hold a full UK driving license.

Desirable Criteria:

\- DBS on the update service

\- Experience working with children and young people in a care setting.

\- PACE Training

As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will have the following:

\- Therapeutic approach

\- The desire and passion to safeguard, motivate, and inspire young people in your care.

\- Good communication skills to work effectively with colleagues, in addition to working closely alongside other external professionals.

\- Ensure you provide a warm, nurturing and supportive environment for our young people to thrive in.

\- The characteristics and personality to handle challenging behaviour effectively and professionally.

\- The confidence to make good decisions, based upon risk assessment and the needs of the children and your colleagues.

\- Assist with the day\-to\-day functions of the home and provide care based on specific individual needs.

\- Prepare the young people for independent life, supporting them with tasks such as cooking, personal care, behaviour management and general life skills.

\- The skills to work collaboratively with various multi agencies, such as Social Services, the NHS, the Police; in order to collaboratively engineer the best outcomes for our children.
