We're looking for a dedicated and passionate Team Leader to help lead a residential children's home, supporting both young people and staff to achieve the very best outcomes.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands\-on with children and young people whilst also developing their leadership skills. You'll play a key role in running shifts, supporting the staff team, maintaining high standards of care, and ensuring the home provides a safe, nurturing, and positive environment where young people can thrive.
You'll be the person staff turn to for guidance, the person young people trust for support, and someone who leads by example every day.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Team Leader, you'll combine direct work with young people alongside leadership responsibilities, including:
- Leading and coordinating staff throughout each shift
- Acting as the senior member of staff on duty
- Supporting, mentoring, and developing Residential Care Workers
- Delivering reflective supervisions and supporting staff performance
- Contributing to audits, quality assurance, and service development

You'll support young people to:
- Develop independent living skills
- Build confidence and self\-esteem
- Achieve educational and personal goals
- Manage challenges and overcome barriers
- Develop healthy routines and relationships
- Access opportunities and experiences that help them grow
No Two Days Are The Same
One day you could be leading a team meeting, completing supervisions, and attending professional meetings.
The next, you could be supporting a young person with their education, accompanying them on an activity, helping them prepare for independence, or celebrating an important milestone in their life.
You'll be actively involved in planning activities, creating opportunities, and ensuring young people experience the kind of positive memories, adventures, and achievements every child deserves.
