Senior Registered Nurse

Join Prospect Hospice’s inpatient unit in Wroughton, where you’ll combine expert clinical care with leadership, helping to shape exceptional palliative and end\-of\-life care for patients and families.
Working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team, you’ll have the time to deliver outstanding person\-centred care while leading shifts, supporting colleagues and helping maintain the high standards our patients deserve.

Hours: 36 hours per week over 7 days (with flexibility to work both days and nights.) Part time hours considered.
What is the role?
As a Senior Registered Nurse, you’ll combine hands\-on clinical care with day\-to\-day leadership, helping coordinate shifts, supporting colleagues and ensuring patients receive exceptional palliative and end\-of\-life care.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading shifts and coordinating patient care
- Delivering expert palliative and end\-of\-life nursing
- Supporting and mentoring Registered Nurses, Healthcare Assistants and students
- Working closely with the multidisciplinary team
- Promoting safe, high\-quality, person\-centred care across the inpatient unit
Previous hospice experience isn’t essential. If you’re an experienced Registered Nurse with the confidence to support colleagues, lead shifts and develop your leadership skills, we’ll provide specialist training and ongoing professional development.
There will be a requirement to work shifts in the community and work flexibly across both teams as needed.

We’re looking for someone who:
- Is an experienced Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
- Enjoys leading and supporting others to deliver excellent care
- Has excellent communication and clinical decision\-making skills
- Can work confidently within a multidisciplinary team
- Has experience in palliative care, hospice, oncology or another complex care setting (desirable)
