We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our growing team.
This is a senior client\-facing role responsible for leading the planning and delivery of complex event projects from initial brief through to final delivery. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, suppliers, technical teams and company directors to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the highest possible standard.
The role is primarily London based, working from our London offices 2\-3 days per week. You will also be expected to travel throughout the UK and internationally as required.
Important
This role is not suitable for candidates whose experience is limited to venue event coordination, hospitality management or event registration. We are seeking an experienced project manager with responsibility for the end\-to\-end delivery of complex corporate events, including budget ownership, client management, supplier coordination and onsite delivery.
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience working within technical production companies, event agencies or production\-led environments where they have managed complex projects involving audio visual production, staging, graphics, logistics and crew management.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing multiple concurrent projects, building strong client relationships and delivering exceptional experiences for corporate clients whilst maintaining strong commercial performance.
The Role
As Senior Project Manager, you will take ownership of multiple projects simultaneously, managing every aspect of delivery from concept development through to onsite execution.
You will act as the primary point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships whilst ensuring that STORM consistently delivers exceptional service and technical excellence.
You will be expected to lead projects confidently, solve problems proactively and make sound commercial decisions that protect both the client experience and project profitability.
In addition to traditional project management responsibilities, you will be capable of producing your own event layouts, floorplans and basic 3D visualisations to communicate ideas clearly to clients and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage corporate events from initial enquiry through to final delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Develop project plans, timelines and delivery schedules.
- Create and manage project budgets.
- Prepare quotations and costings.
- Manage project profitability and commercial performance.
- Brief internal departments and external suppliers.
- Coordinate technical production, scenic, graphics, venues, logistics and crew.
- Produce event layouts, room plans and project visuals where required.
- Lead client meetings, site visits and production calls.
- Produce event documentation including schedules, running orders, crew briefings and project documentation.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation plans.
- Manage onsite event delivery and client liaison.
- Conduct project debriefs and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Support new business opportunities and contribute to pitch responses when required.
- Minimum 5 years' experience managing corporate events.
- Experience delivering conferences, leadership events, roadshows, exhibitions, awards ceremonies or live broadcasts.
- Experience managing event budgets ranging from £25,000 to £500,000\+.
- Strong commercial awareness and budget management experience.
- Experience working directly with corporate clients and senior stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience coordinating suppliers, venues and technical production teams.
- Strong problem\-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in CAD and 3D visualisation software.
- Experience using SketchUp, Vectorworks, AutoCAD or similar software.
- Ability to produce event layouts, floorplans and basic 3D visualisations.
- Ability to develop concepts and communicate ideas visually to clients and internal teams.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Experience within a technical production company.
- Strong understanding of audio visual, staging, lighting and video production.
- Experience using Current RMS, Monday.com or similar project management systems.
- Experience producing risk assessments, method statements and event documentation.
- Understanding of virtual and hybrid event delivery.
- Experience working with FTSE 100 organisations.
- Experience producing client\-facing renders, technical drawings and venue layouts.
