Senior Project Manager
Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Project Manager to lead complex projects across various departments. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, exceptional organisational skills, and a comprehensive understanding of project management methodologies. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing cross\-functional teams, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget, while maintaining high standards of quality and stakeholder satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple projects in accordance with organisational objectives and strategic priorities.
- Supervise project teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management to ensure high levels of productivity and engagement.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues affecting project progress and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Utilise project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Jira, or Smartsheet to develop schedules, track progress, and report on project status.
- Manage project budgets by implementing cost control measures and ensuring efficient resource utilisation.
- Coordinate with cross\-functional teams using tools like SharePoint, Confluence, Workday, ServiceNow, and Content Management Systems to streamline communication and documentation.
- Apply various project management methodologies including Waterfall and SAFe frameworks to suit different project needs.
- Analyse data using SAS or other analytics tools to inform decision\-making processes.
- Prepare compelling presentations for stakeholders using Visio or similar tools to communicate project status and strategic plans effectively.
- Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation in product development and process improvement initiatives.
- Proven supervising experience in managing large\-scale projects within a complex organisational environment.
- Extensive knowledge of requirements gathering techniques and stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Demonstrable expertise in ERP systems such as Workday or Salesforce for resource planning and customer relationship management.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams across multiple locations effectively.
- Proficiency in project management software including Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Jira, Smartsheet, or equivalent tools.
- Excellent organisational skills with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget constraints.
- Experience applying both Waterfall and Agile methodologies such as SAFe in various project scenarios.
- Data analysis skills with familiarity in SAS or similar platforms for reporting purposes.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of content management systems like SharePoint or Confluence is desirable for documentation purposes.
