The Role
------------

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead and coordinate a Wero / digital payments project within a complex financial\-services environment.

The Project Manager will be responsible for driving the project end\-to\-end, coordinating business and technical stakeholders, managing dependencies and risks, and ensuring successful delivery against agreed scope, timeline and quality objectives.

The role requires someone who can quickly take ownership of an ongoing initiative and operate effectively across business, IT, operations and external partners.

Key Responsibilities
------------------------

• Take end\-to\-end ownership of the Wero project and associated workstreams.


• Build, maintain and drive the project plan, milestones, deliverables and dependencies.


• Coordinate business, IT, operations, security, compliance and external stakeholders.


• Organize and facilitate project governance, steering committees and working groups.


• Track actions, decisions, risks, issues and dependencies, ensuring appropriate escalation.


• Coordinate technical and business activities related to integration, testing, readiness and deployment.


• Ensure alignment between business requirements and technical implementation.


• Manage dependencies with external providers, payment ecosystem stakeholders and partners.


• Prepare clear project reporting and executive\-level status updates.


• Support testing, go\-live preparation, migration and post\-go\-live stabilization.


• Proactively identify delivery risks and propose mitigation or recovery plans.

• 5\+ years of experience in Project Management, ideally within banking, payments or financial services.


• Strong knowledge of payment projects and payment ecosystems.


• Previous exposure to Wero, EPI, instant payments, account\-to\-account payments or digital payment solutions is a strong advantage.


• Proven experience managing projects involving both business and IT teams.


• Strong understanding of project governance, risk management, planning and stakeholder management.


• Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and managing multiple parties in a complex environment.


• Ability to quickly understand technical and functional topics without necessarily being a hands\-on technical expert.


• Structured, autonomous, pragmatic and delivery\-oriented.


• Strong communication and coordination skills.

English: Fluent / professional proficiency – mandatory

The candidate must be available immediately or at very short notice.

Nice to Have
----------------

Experience with one or more of the following would be particularly valuable: Wero/EPI, SEPA Instant, payment processing, banking APIs, mobile banking, digital wallets, authentication, fraud prevention, PSD2/PSD3 or payment\-related regulatory environments.
