Accountabilities

  • Own the end-to-end mobile design lifecycle across iOS and Android, taking initiatives from strategic discovery and research through interaction design, prototyping, native UI delivery, and implementation support.

  • Lead an AI-augmented design process, using AI tools to accelerate research synthesis, ideation, concept exploration, prototyping, and validation while applying strong senior-level judgment throughout.

  • Translate user needs, behavioral data, and business objectives into intuitive mobile-first experiences that improve adoption, retention, engagement, and overall product growth.

  • Identify opportunities through research and quantitative insights, define high-impact design opportunities, and help shape the mobile product roadmap and strategic direction.

  • Champion the user in product decisions while balancing customer value, business priorities, technical considerations, and long-term product scalability.

  • Evolve and maintain mobile design standards and systems, raising the bar for quality, accessibility, consistency, and interaction design across iOS and Android experiences.

  • Partner closely with product and engineering teams to influence product direction, solve complex problems, and deliver high-quality experiences without relying on formal authority.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience designing complex digital products, ideally within SaaS or similarly sophisticated product environments, with a strong portfolio demonstrating shipped native mobile experiences across iOS and Android.

  • Deep expertise in mobile UX/UI, information architecture, interaction design, accessibility, platform-specific design patterns, and interactive prototyping, with a strong eye for product quality and craft.

  • Strong technical fluency and adaptability within modern design workflows, including experience working with code-based sources of truth and tools such as Claude Code, alongside decreasing reliance on traditional design-file workflows.

  • Demonstrated ability to use AI tools throughout the design thinking process, including research synthesis, ideation, prototyping, and validation, while understanding where human judgment and expertise remain essential.

  • Expert-level knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods, with the ability to turn customer insights and behavioral data into meaningful product decisions.

  • Proven experience collaborating with product and engineering teams to influence strategy, align stakeholders, and drive measurable outcomes without formal management authority.

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and collaboration skills, combined with a high degree of autonomy and ownership.
