We are currently recruiting Senior Process Engineer on behalf of our sister company TUV Rheinland Industrial Services (TRIS). Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Process Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in leading and supporting process engineering projects, from small\-scale calculations to large\-scale FEED (Front\-End Engineering Design) and detailed design projects. You will ensure the delivery of high\-quality solutions that meet industry standards and customer expectations. This role is ideal for someone passionate about innovation, leadership, and contributing to the energy transition.
You will lead and support process engineering projects, ensuring timely and high\-quality delivery. Your tasks will include authoring, reviewing, and approving process engineering deliverables, ensuring compliance with industry and internal standards. Additionally, you will collaborate with commercial teams to develop accurate proposals and man\-hour estimates. Interacting with customers to deliver tailored solutions that meet their needs and expectations is also a crucial part of this role. Furthermore, you will contribute to the development of TÜV’s portfolio, focusing on Energy Transition and Net Zero initiatives. Networking and sharing best practices across teams and disciplines will be essential, as well as delivering training courses to external clients, such as Pressure Relief. Mentoring and guiding graduate and junior engineers to enhance team capabilities will also be part of your responsibilities.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Qualifications: Degree in Process Engineering or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in process engineering.
- Technical Expertise:
+ Experience in process system design, including hydraulic calculations, P\&ID development, and process modeling.
+ Strong knowledge of simulation software (e.g., Aspen Suite).
Desirable:
- Chartered Chemical Engineer status.
- Professional consulting experience or similar relevant experience in advising and delivering technical solutions.
- Operational and design experience, preferably on operating sites.
- Familiarity with TUV proprietary software (PEL \& CAPRE).
- Experience in Energy Transition and Net Zero initiatives (e.g., CCUS, hydrogen, fuel switching).
- Knowledge of HAZOP, LOPA, and SIL methodologies.
- Experience in designing discharge and disposal systems for chemical plants.
- Full clean driving license.
- Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally.
- Good IT proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong consultancy, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Standard hours Monday to Friday 40 hours per week. Overtime available.
