Senior Portfolio Accountant (fixed term contract)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Portfolio Accountant which offers a highly sought after career opportunity to work in both a finance and operations capacity. The role will include overseeing the financial reporting and day\-to\-day operations of significant client investment portfolios that are either held via investment structures or as separate accounts. This position is a fixed\-term contract for 12 months .

Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Preparing or reviewing financial aspects of investor reporting (monthly, quarterly and annual) working closely with portfolio managers

Oversight of third\-party administrators and external auditors

Portfolio and investment\-level performance analysis

Valuation of investments

Calculation of performance fees

Presenting at various boards and oversight committees

Liquidity monitoring, forecasting, credit facility management, investor drawdowns and distributions

Calculation of foreign currency trades and hedging instructions

Liaison with clients and their custodian banks

Working with in\-house tax, legal and middle office teams on deal support, including operational due diligence

Preparing ad\-hoc financial analysis

Updating records and systems to account for AUM, transactions, and fees billable, reconciliations etc

Ensuring compliance with internal controls

Key Skills/Experience

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with up to 5 years’ PQE

Prior financial services experience with Big Four or top tier accountancy firm, or in house experience at a real estate or private equity firm or administrator preferred

Strong financial control and analytical skills are essential

Good problem\-solving, excellent attention to detail and strong excel skills are essential

Proactive and able to organise your own work and schedule, with ability to meet deadlines

Team player – able to work effectively and collaboratively within a small, dedicated team but also with the external service providers (ie. administrators

Ability to prioritise and work across multiple projects \#CBREIM
