Senior Paraplanner
Location: Lincoln
Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 depending on experience
Working Pattern: 4 Day Working Week - Monday to Thursday, 9am - 5pm
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
NJR Recruitment is delighted to be working with a fast-growing financial advice firm in Lincoln who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Paraplanner to join their established team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Paraplanner who is looking to join a progressive business where they can make a genuine contribution, work within a supportive team and play an important role in the continued growth of the company.
You will join a team of experienced Paraplanners, working within a busy office environment and managing a high level of new business across a range of financial products.
The Role
As a Senior Paraplanner, you will provide comprehensive technical and administrative support throughout the new business and client review process. You will be highly organised, commercially aware and confident managing multiple cases and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing incoming new business across multiple products as part of a wider team
- Processing new business from obtaining quotations and preparing applications through to completion
- Monitoring progress and proactively chasing outstanding requirements
- Preparing client valuations by gathering details of existing holdings and updating internal systems
- Preparing meeting packs to support Financial Planners
- Carrying out product research and comparisons using relevant software
- Preparing and maintaining client permanent files
- Managing work arising from daily post and ensuring client reviews are completed within required timescales
- Booking client appointments and interview rooms where required
- Ensuring client files remain compliant and contain up-to-date AML documentation
- Preparing applications, including Key Features, Illustrations and Fund Fact Sheets, ready for adviser meetings
- Invoicing and chasing outstanding payments
- Supporting the maintenance of regulatory information and internal systems
- Assisting with SSAS and SIPP administration
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure a consistently high level of client service
The successful candidate will have:
- At least 3 years' experience working within a Paraplanning role
- Current or recent experience as a Paraplanner, ideally within a busy new business environment
- Experience managing a high volume of new business
- Strong knowledge and practical experience of Xplan
- Diploma level qualification
- Exceptional organisational skills and a meticulous eye for detail
- Excellent telephone and written communication skills
- A confident, friendly and professional manner when dealing with clients and colleagues
- Strong IT and digital skills
- A genuine commitment to delivering excellent client service
Alongside a competitive salary of £35,000 - £50,000, depending on experience, the successful candidate will benefit from:
