The Role: Senior Operations Manager
This isn’t just another operations role—it’s your chance to take ownership, make an impact, and help shape how we deliver excellence. Leading a team of 2 operations managers and a team of 48 drivers on a brand new long term contract, you will be able to model the team and develop the expansion of the operation.
As our Senior Operations Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our logistics operation—leading a motivated team of Operations managers, improving processes, and ensuring everything runs smoothly from depot to delivery. Your decisions will directly influence performance, client satisfaction, and the continued growth of the business.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading day\-to\-day logistics operations across 12 sites to keep deliveries running smoothly and on time
- Inspiring and managing a team, creating a positive and high\-performing work environment
- Building strong relationships with clients and tailoring solutions to their needs
- Using real\-time tracking systems to monitor performance and ensure safety standards
- Driving continuous improvement through quality control and operational best practices
- Working closely with other teams to streamline processes and boost overall performance
- Reviewing performance data and turning insights into action
- Experience managing operations within logistics or distribution
- Experience leading a small management team
- A confident, approachable leader who brings out the best in their team
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A problem\-solver who enjoys analysing data and improving processes
- Familiarity with fleet or logistics systems (a bonus, not essential)
- A proactive mindset with great attention to detail
