Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Designer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing detailed mechanical designs for a variety of water and chemical dosing engineering projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise advanced CAD software and contribute to innovative design solutions within a collaborative environment. The ideal applicant will possess strong technical skills, a keen eye for detail, and extensive experience in mechanical design processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive mechanical designs using industry\-standard CAD software, including AutoCAD and Plant3D.

  • Create detailed schematics, P\&ID's, technical GA drawings, and 3D models aligned with project specifications and client requirements.

  • Collaborate closely with project teams to ensure designs meet all safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

  • Utilise NavisWorks for clash detection and coordination across multidisciplinary models.

  • Apply and utilise 3D modelling for engineering interface designs where applicable.

  • Review and revise designs based on feedback from engineers, clients, and construction teams to optimise functionality and manufacturability.

  • Assist in the preparation of technical documentation and reports for project submissions.

  • Support construction teams during project execution by providing clear guidance on design intent and resolving technical issues as they arise.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Designer or similar role within the construction or engineering sector.

  • Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD and Plant 3D.

  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems design principles and construction processes.

  • Experience working with Schematics and technical drawings for complex mechanical systems.

  • Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations relevant to mechanical design in construction projects.

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.

  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. This position offers an engaging work environment where innovation and expertise are highly valued.
