Senior Manager, Data Governance

*Are you passionate about building trusted, scalable, and modern data governance practices that truly enable the business? Pandora is looking for a strategic and hands\-on* *Senior Manager, Data Governance* *to lead and evolve our global Operational Data Governance capability.*

In this role, you’ll help shape how governance is embedded across our data ecosystem, ensuring data is trusted, well\-defined, high quality, and seamlessly integrated into the way we build products and platforms. You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team spanning governance architecture, engineering governance, data quality, and governance operations while partnering closely with Data, Engineering, and business stakeholders across the organisation.

This is a unique opportunity to influence enterprise\-wide data practices at scale and drive a “governance by design” mindset across Pandora’s data platforms.

What you’ll be responsible for:

Lead and scale Operational Data Governance

• Own and evolve Pandora’s Operational Data Governance capability across architecture, engineering, data quality, and governance delivery


• Embed governance into data products and platform workflows from day one — not as a downstream control activity


• Drive alignment across Data, Engineering (Athena), and business domains


• Build a scalable governance function with measurable business impact

• Lead the definition of enterprise data architecture standards and governance models


• Shape and scale metadata capabilities including:

Data catalog and metadata management

Data lineage and lifecycle tracking

• Ensure governance supports scalability, interoperability, compliance, and automation


• Drive adoption of governance tooling and metadata automation

• Partner closely with platform and engineering teams to integrate governance directly into pipelines and workflows


• Establish automated governance controls across the data platform


• Ensure technical enforcement of:

Data lineage

Data quality controls

Data contracts

• Reduce manual governance overhead through scalable platform capabilities

• Define and implement enterprise\-wide data quality frameworks and standards


• Establish quality rules, thresholds, SLAs, and observability practices


• Lead root\-cause analysis and remediation of data issues


• Embed accountability for data quality within Data Product teams


• Define and track governance KPIs and trust metrics

• Drive the continuous improvement of the Data Governance Operating Model


• Define ownership structures, decision rights, and governance processes


• Lead governance forums, issue escalation, and change control activities


• Partner with business and product teams to operationalise governance in delivery programmes

• Significant experience (typically 8\+ years) within; data governance, data management or data architecture, data platforms and engineering\-aligned governance or data quality and operational excellence.


• Proven experience leading cross\-functional governance teams in complex environments


• Strong track record of implementing scalable governance operating models


• Experience embedding governance into modern data platforms and delivery practices


• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across both technical and business audiences


• A strategic mindset combined with a pragmatic, hands\-on approach
