  • Supporting firms to interpret and implement new and emerging prudential requirements, including Basel 3\.1 and CRD VI.

  • Advising firms on banking\-book capital requirements, including credit risk, credit risk mitigation, Pillar 2 and the interaction between regulatory requirements and firms’ portfolios and business models.

  • Helping firms respond to supervisory findings and strengthen their prudential frameworks, governance, controls and regulatory reporting.

  • Advising on the prudential and capital implications of transactions, legal entity changes, business model developments and capital optimisation initiatives.
We wish to recruit a high\-calibre, motivated and self\-starting individual at Senior Manager level, with demonstrable depth in banking\-book capital or a closely related prudential discipline, together with the breadth and curiosity to advise across wider prudential matters. The successful candidate will have the ability to lead projects and develop new business propositions.
  • Banking\-book capital requirements, including credit risk under the standardised and/or IRB approaches.

  • Basel 3\.1 interpretation and implementation, including credit risk, credit risk mitigation, the output floor and related regulatory reporting.

  • Prudential regulatory reporting, including COREP and the controls, data lineage and governance supporting prudential returns.

  • Regulatory interpretation, impact assessment, implementation and remediation.

  • Supervisory engagement with the PRA or other prudential regulators.
Experience of applying prudential expertise to capital optimisation, transactions, legal entity structuring or regulatory due diligence would be advantageous but is not essential. Relevant experience may have been gained within a bank, building society, investment firm, regulator or consultancy.
