Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and detail\-oriented INDUSTRY EXPERIENCED Senior Management Accountant to join our finance team. In this vital role, you will lead financial management activities, ensure accurate reporting, and support strategic decision\-making. Your expertise will help drive financial excellence across our operations, fostering growth and efficiency.

Duties

  • Prepare and analyze monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and reporting on budget versus actual.

  • Reporting on cost per unit for quarrying, ready mixed concrete and haulage operations.

  • Production of KPI dashboards.

  • Oversee financial reporting processes using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft.

  • Manage accounts payable functions, including invoice processing and vendor reconciliations.

  • Monitor cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.

  • Mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance on best practices and professional development.

  • Collaborate with operational teams to improve financial procedures and controls.

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies across all financial activities.
Skills
  • Proven experience with accounting software Sage.

  • Strong background in financial services or related industries with a focus on financial management.

  • Excellent understanding of financial accounting principles and practices.

  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members effectively.

  • Proficiency in managing accounts payable processes and financial reporting tasks.

  • Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Effective communication skills to liaise with cross\-functional teams and external auditors.
