Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail\-oriented INDUSTRY EXPERIENCED Senior Management Accountant to join our finance team. In this vital role, you will lead financial management activities, ensure accurate reporting, and support strategic decision\-making. Your expertise will help drive financial excellence across our operations, fostering growth and efficiency.
Duties
- Prepare and analyze monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and reporting on budget versus actual.
- Reporting on cost per unit for quarrying, ready mixed concrete and haulage operations.
- Production of KPI dashboards.
- Oversee financial reporting processes using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft.
- Manage accounts payable functions, including invoice processing and vendor reconciliations.
- Monitor cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance on best practices and professional development.
- Collaborate with operational teams to improve financial procedures and controls.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies across all financial activities.
- Proven experience with accounting software Sage.
- Strong background in financial services or related industries with a focus on financial management.
- Excellent understanding of financial accounting principles and practices.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members effectively.
- Proficiency in managing accounts payable processes and financial reporting tasks.
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with cross\-functional teams and external auditors.
