Operations Manager - Waste management and Recycling
An experienced Waste \& Recycling Operations Manager is required to lead a production team at a fast\-paced processing site
Salary: £60k \+ benefits, Pension
Location: Horwich, Blackrod Preston and surrounding areas
The Role
As Operations Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day\-to\-day running of a busy waste management or recycling facility.
Key duties include:
- Overseeing the intake, processing, and dispatch of waste materials
- Ensuring all plant and equipment are properly maintained and operational
- Maintaining compliance with Environmental, Health \& Safety, and Quality standards
- Managing, motivating, and developing a team of production staff
- Supporting commercial activities and contributing to overall business performance
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
A relevant qualification such as COTC/WAMITAB
Proven experience managing a waste processing or recycling site although not essential
A background working with materials such as wood waste, scrap metal, plastics, construction/demolition waste, composting, landfill, aggregates, anaerobic digestion, MRF/MBT operations, or other heavy industry
Desirable : NEBOSH or IOSH certification
A full UK driving license

General Manager, MBT Shift Manager, Transfer Station Manager, Recycling Operations Manager, Waste Site Manager, MRF Manager, Skip Hire General Manager, Recycling Production Manager, Plant Manager
Pay: £60,000\.00 per year
