We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Infrastructure Engineer based in Diegem to join the team responsible for managing the DHL Express Global Aviation IT, VMware, Nutanix, Windows Server and Active Directory environments.

The successful candidate will possess strong expertise in VMware vSphere, Nutanix and Microsoft Windows Server technologies, and will contribute to ensuring availability, security, resilience, and optimal performance within a global scope.

How will you contribute to the success of DHL?

• Design, implement, and maintain VMware, Nutanix, and Windows Server infrastructure to ensure high availability and optimal performance


• Monitor and optimize the performance of VMware vSphere, Nutanix, and Windows Server environments, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues


• Plan and execute system updates, patches, and upgrades while minimizing impact on business operations


• Develop and maintain comprehensive and up\-to\-date documentation of systems, configurations, and operational procedures


• Collaborate closely with other IT teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment between infrastructure solutions and business objectives


• Stay informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and relevant platform updates

Do you have what it takes?
==============================

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT infrastructure administration and configuration


• Demonstrated experience with VMware vSphere, Nutanix, and virtualization technologies including knowledge of their associated monitoring tools (Aria Operations,..)


• Strong expertise in Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory Domain Services


• Solid understanding of networking principles and system architecture


• Experience with infrastructure automation and scripting (e.g. PowerShell, Ansible, or similar tools)


• Knowledge of System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) is considered an asset


• Good understanding of IT security practices and GDPR requirements


• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team\-oriented environment


• Analytical, proactive, and capable of working independently under pressure


• Fluent in English, both spoken and written


• Knowledge of Dutch is considered a plus
