The Role
Senior Health Care Support Worker required for a busy Blood \& Go service and to carry out CDM clinics within Hamilton Locality
The post holder will carry out duties involving direct patient care as delegated by the registered nurse. Will regularly work without supervision after appropriate training/induction to provide care and support to patients/relatives/carers The post holder will ensure a person centred approach to care delivery which is safe and effective to ensure and maintain quality strategy.
The working pattern for this role is days.
In this key role, you will:
- To provide patient care in support of the registered nurse to ensure delivery of a high quality of patient care and report any variations to the normal.
- Work within Organisational policies and procedures to ensure maintenance of safe working practices for patients, colleagues and self.
- Maintain stock levels of all supplies including special orders and carry out housekeeping duties in accordance with policies/procedures, to support the smooth running of the area.
- Participate in personal development plan to maintain skills and enhance knowledge and skills
- SVQ III in healthcare, or working towards, or equivalent experience working within a caring environment/role.
- Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary/agency team.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to carry out assigned patient care tasks effectively within a busy environment.
- A full, valid UK/EU/EEA drivers licence.
