We're looking for a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager – Regional Lead, to join our Construction team based in Birmingham, covering the Eastern and Midlands Region.

Location: Birmingham, covering the Eastern and Midlands Region

Hours: 37\.5 per week \- some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

This is an exciting opportunity to provide Health, Safety, and Wellbeing leadership across our regional construction business. As the key point of contact between the regional business and the Kier Construction Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Director, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our teams work safely and thrive. This position offers the chance to make a real difference across major construction projects whilst developing your career within a supportive, forward\-thinking organisation.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager – Regional Lead, you'll be working within the Construction team, supporting them in delivering excellence in health, safety and wellbeing across the Eastern and Midlands Region. Your day to day will include:

  • Coordinating and compiling project HSW reports and providing monthly updates to the Project Senior Leadership Team

  • Undertaking audits and inspections to ensure quality reporting, corrective actions and adherence to Operating Procedures and Control Standards

  • Supporting accident, incident and near miss investigations in accordance with our Major Incident Response Plan to prevent reoccurrence

  • Advising project leadership on all aspects of Health, Safety and Wellbeing, promoting our behavioural safety programme "Think Safety Differently"

  • Building and maintaining effective working relationships across HSW, Environmental, Social Value and Quality Assurance Teams
What are we looking for?

This role of Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager – Regional Lead is great for you if:

  • You have demonstrable experience in construction industry safety, health, and wellbeing within a similar Tier 1 construction business, preferably as a Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH)

  • You're a great communicator with proven ability to build positive working relationships at site level

  • You have a strong understanding of behavioural safety and can promote safety programmes effectively

  • You're forward thinking, able to share ideas and challenge standard practices whilst managing your own workload and priorities

  • You hold an appropriate level CSCS Card and are proficient in Microsoft Office 365
