Main duties, tasks \& skills required
The role of the Health Care Assistant is to work as part of the breast care team to deliver direct and indirect patient care, working under the direction of the clinical team in Breast. The role will include outpatient, radiology, breast care nursing support and health promotion.
The role will entail supporting the systems for a multi\-disciplinary approach to patient\-centred care delivery, which builds on the philosophy of greater involvement of patients and their relatives/carers by using the Trusts patient and public involvement strategy. The role requires a flexible approach to covering the service.
