The Role:
We are seeking qualified \& experienced Senior Healthcare Assistants to join our network of leading care providers in Sheffield and surrounding areas. This is a rewarding role where you will lead and support care delivery, helping residents feel safe, valued, and empowered to live life to the fullest. Your efforts will directly impact their wellbeing in a person\-centred environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise care delivery during your shift, ensuring high standards of person\-centred care.
- Support and mentor junior care staff and new team members, providing guidance and training where needed.
- Assist residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Support with mobility and transfers using equipment such as hoists or walking aids.
- Assist with feeding, ensuring residents receive appropriate nutrition and hydration.
- Record vital signs and maintain accurate care records.
- Encourage independence and engage residents in meaningful activities.
- Provide emotional support and foster positive relationships with residents and families.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.
- Delegate tasks effectively to team members while monitoring quality of care.
- Identify changes in residents’ conditions and escalate concerns to nursing or management staff.
- Contribute to care planning and review, providing insights from direct resident care.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and confidentiality policies at all times.
- Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (essential).
- Medication administration (essential).
- Minimum 1 year experience in a care setting.
- Minimum 6 months experience as a senior healthcare assistant.
- Trained in moving \& handling, including hoist usage.
- Caring, compassionate, and empathetic approach.
- Excellent communication and timekeeping skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain accurate records.
- Flexible and sensitive to residents’ needs.
- Ability to build positive relationships with residents and families.
- Medication training is beneficial but not essential.
- Valid UK driving license is preferred for travel between clients, but not essential.

Pay Rate: £15\.00 – £18 per hour (including holiday pay), dependent on client, location \& shift type.
Employment Type: Ongoing Agency Work / Flexible Shift Patterns.
