About Keylink

Keylink is a leading trade supplier to the UK chocolate, bakery and patisserie industries, based in Dinnington, Sheffield. We are a stable, established business with a long\-standing customer base and an experienced team.

We always strive to go above and beyond in everything we do, based on our core values of excellence, collaboration, respect and resilience. Our commitment to these values and to our customers is reflected in both our BRCGS AA\+ grade and our 4\.9 TrustPilot rating, the highest in the industry.

The Role

This is a hands\-on, floor\-based role running our warehouse day to day. You will lead a team of around 20 people across goods\-in, picking, packing, breakdown and dispatch — and you will lead it from the floor, not from behind a desk.

The scope is broader than conventional warehouse management covering stock accuracy and Warehouse Management System (WMS) discipline, health and safety, the full people lifecycle for your team, and the practical upkeep of the site itself. The Warehouse Manager is part of our Senior Management Team and the role carries real ownership and the freedom to improve how the site runs.

We are looking for someone who thinks quickly, looks at the data and makes things happen — and who leads by our values: setting the standard, communicating clearly, tackling problems rather than avoiding them, and helping people learn from mistakes rather than blaming them.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead the warehouse team daily from the floor, setting the pace and the standard by example.

· Move resource dynamically across inbound, picking, packing, breakdown and despatch in response to real\-time order volumes and daily targets.

· Manage day\-to\-day stock control and inventory accuracy in our WMS (OrderFlow), including daily compliance routines and the flow of products from goods\-in to dispatch.

· Protect the daily dispatch cut\-offs that underpin our next\-working\-day delivery promise.

· Oversee the full employee lifecycle for the warehouse team \- recruitment, onboarding, hands\-on training, attendance tracking, and formal HR investigations and disciplinaries \- supported by our HR Officer

· Oversee health and safety on site, supported by our H\&S officer, keeping the environment safe without unnecessarily stalling operations.

· Resolve floor bottlenecks, system errors and equipment issues quickly and efficiently.

· Coach team leaders and operatives to take initiative, make sound operational decisions and build floor autonomy.

Essential Skills and Experience

· Proven experience managing warehouse teams directly from the floor, leading by example and driving daily performance.

· Full shift and resource management across a multi\-stage operation, flexing the team to daily volumes and targets.

· Hands\-on technical competency with IT generally, and in particular with a Warehouse Management System (OrderFlow or similar), stock management and daily compliance.

· Practical, end\-to\-end people and HR management, including hands\-on staff training and formal investigations and disciplinaries.

· A solid understanding of warehouse health and safety, applied pragmatically.

· Action\-oriented problem solving — a think quickly, act, fix mindset.

Desirable Qualities

· An aptitude for process improvement and basic automation: streamlining floor layouts, improving picking and packing ergonomics, or using software tools (custom labelling or data handling) to eliminate manual admin.

· Commercial and procurement awareness: negotiating carrier and courier terms, for example with DPD.

· Practical site maintenance and DIY aptitude: comfortable with basic hand tools for minor site upkeep, rack maintenance, or prepping equipment for peak periods.

· Experience of project and facilities management: minor site infrastructure projects, or coordinating external contractors (HVAC, electrical or civil maintenance).

What we offer

· £40,000 – £44,000 per annum, depending on experience.

· Monday to Friday, 8am to 4\.30pm, with longer hours and Sunday shifts in the run\-up to Christmas.

· 30 days' holiday, inclusive of bank holidays.

· Company bonus, Westfield Health policy and pension.
