Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Senior Geotechnical Engineer Location: Central London
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000

A growing specialist engineering consultancy is looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced geotechnical professional looking for greater technical responsibility, varied project exposure and the opportunity to play an important role within a growing business.

The Role:

• Leading geotechnical projects from investigation through to design and delivery


• Planning and managing ground investigations


• Reviewing and interpreting GI data and producing interpretive reports


• Undertaking geotechnical design including foundations, retaining structures and slope stability


• Providing technical input across a range of infrastructure and development projects


• Liaising directly with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams


• Supporting site works and providing technical advice during construction


• Reviewing technical work and mentoring junior engineers


• Contributing to the continued development of the geotechnical team

The Candidate:

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology


• Significant experience within a geotechnical consultancy


• Strong technical understanding of ground investigation and geotechnical design


• Experience managing projects and working directly with clients


• Strong report writing and communication skills


• Experience with geotechnical design software


• Chartered status or actively working towards chartership would be advantageous
