Due to the summer holidays, we will only be reviewing applications from August onwards.
At Vipps MobilePay, we remove hassle, create dazzle and make it very, very easy to send and receive money. Being among the most loved brands in Norway and Denmark, we affect people's lives every day by delivering great user experiences for 11 million users and 400,000 stores and web shops across the Nordics.
We're now looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our Market Facing Products area.
What you'll do
As a developer on Market\-Facing Products, you'll be building at the heart of Vipps. Whether it's a charity collecting donations, a volunteer organizing a local event, a community flea market, or a small business serving customers — we build products that make getting paid simple. Our goal is to make it easier and hassle free for small businesses and non\-profit organizations to handle these payments so they can spend more time on what they are truly passionate about.
In this role, you'll work side by side with your team from the earliest questions — what do our users actually struggle with, and what would make their lives meaningfully easier — all the way through to putting something real in their hands.
Who you are
You're a strong backend developer who enjoys working across the whole stack, creating products and systems that make a real difference for users.
You're curious by nature, and love using new technologies and fresh insights to solve real customer problems. You're not afraid to think big or challenge the obvious solution. You make decisions grounded in data, and from genuinely understanding the people we build for and the problems they need solved.
We think you'll thrive if you:
Have 5\+ years of professional software development experience and are operating at a senior level.
Have strong backend experience, preferably in Go and/or .NET.
Are comfortable working in the front\-end, using technologies such as React and Typescript.
Enjoy solving technical and architectural challenges, and are comfortable with cloud and containers (Azure, Kubernetes).
Take initiative and proactively drive improvements.
Challenge existing solutions when you see a better way forward.
Balance short\-term business needs with long\-term technical sustainability.
Enjoy collaborating with others and contributing to a strong engineering culture.
Are curious about new technologies and excited to explore how AI and modern development practices can improve the way we build products.
Communicate clearly in English, both written and spoken
Experience with mobile development is a plus (Swift, Kotlin).
This role is based in Oslo and follows a flexible hybrid work model. We value the energy and collaboration that come from spending time together in person, and team members are typically in the office at least three days per week.
