Senior Events & Corporate Catering Manager / Street Food Chef
Cheeky Group (Cheeky Burger \& Papi Chulo) is hiring a hands\-on Events \& Corporate Catering Manager for London and UK\-wide events. £16– £18/hr, 40–45 hrs/week, full UK driving licence required. Manage the event, lead the team, and get stuck into service — full details below.
We operate several exciting street food concepts, including Cheeky Burger and Papi Chulo, delivering food for corporate offices, private events, brand activations, pop\-ups and large\-scale events across London and the UK.
This is a very hands\-on role. We are looking for someone who is equally comfortable managing an event, leading a team, dealing with clients and jumping into the kitchen during a busy service.
What you’ll be doing
You will be responsible for helping us deliver events from preparation through to service and pack\-down. Your responsibilities will include:
Managing corporate catering, office pop\-ups, private functions and larger events
Leading and motivating event catering teams
Preparing and cooking food to our recipes and standards Managing busy food service and ensuring excellent presentation and customer service
Liaising professionally with corporate clients, event organisers and venue teams
Organising food preparation and loading before events
Managing stock, placing orders and controlling wastage
Creating staff schedules and organising teams for events Ensuring correct food labelling, allergen procedures and temperature records
Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health \& safety standards Preparing for and confidently managing EHO inspections Ensuring events are set up correctly, professionally and on time Helping train and develop junior members of the team
Driving company vehicles and transporting equipment and stock when required
Who we’re looking for
You don’t need to be a fine\-dining chef, but you must be confident in a kitchen and happy to get stuck in during service. Ideally, you’ll have:
Experience managing a team within event catering, street food, corporate catering, restaurants or cafés
Good practical kitchen experience
Experience running busy food services
Strong organisational and leadership skills
Experience with stock control and ordering
Knowledge of food hygiene, allergens and EHO requirements Confidence dealing directly with clients and event organisers
A positive attitude and the ability to stay calm during busy services Good spoken English
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when events require it Willingness to travel for events across London and the UK
Full UK driving licence – essential
Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate preferred; if you don’t currently have one, we can arrange the qualification
Level 3 Food Hygiene is an advantage
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who is reliable, organised, enthusiastic and genuinely enjoys events, food and working with people.

Working pattern
Hours will vary depending on events and may include 8, 10 or 12\-hour shifts, as well as some evenings and weekends. This is not a standard Monday–Friday kitchen role, so flexibility is important. Equally, the role offers plenty of variety and the opportunity to work across some fantastic venues, offices and events.
