Senior Engagement Manager - Rest of England
The NHS Transforming People Services (TPS) programme sits at the heart of delivering the NHS 10 Year Health Plan — creating a workforce that is empowered, flexible and digitally enabled to meet the evolving needs of patients and communities.
This is more than a transformation role, it is an opportunity to redefine how people services are delivered across the NHS and directly influence the experience of one of the largest workforces in the world.
The Senior Engagement Manager will work closely with national leaders, regional teams, People professionals, service designers, professional networks and Trade Union representatives, the National Engagement Lead across England to create meaningful opportunities for collaboration and co\-design, helping to ensure transformation is informed by the needs and experiences of those who deliver and use People Services.
- Building trusted relationships, driving stakeholder confidence and supporting the successful adoption of new services, operating models and ways of working.
- Lead regional engagement activities for TPS, ensuring stakeholders are informed, involved and prepared for change.
- Coordinate engagement events, workshops and feedback activities, ensuring regional views shape programme decisions and support successful transformation delivery.
The role plays a pivotal role in the National Engagement team. Keys skills:
- Significant experience leading stakeholder engagement, communications or change programmes within complex NHS, healthcare or public sector environments.
- Proven ability to develop and deliver large\-scale engagement strategies that build understanding, commitment and adoption of transformational change.
- Strong leadership experience, with a track record of building, developing and motivating high\-performing teams to deliver against ambitious objectives.

In March 2025, the Government announced that NHS England and the Department of Health and Social Care will increasingly merge functions, ultimately leading to NHS England being fully integrated into the department.
