About the role

Are you excited by the opportunity to improve patient care through digital innovation? We are seeking 2 motivated and organised Digital Senior Project Managers to support the delivery of our Nervecentre Electronic Patient Record (EPR) Programme.

You will lead complex projects and workstreams with a primary focus on:

  • Leading the Business Intelligence and Data Quality workstream, ensuring high\-quality, reliable data underpins clinical and operational decision\-making

  • Patient Administration System (PAS) implementation within Nervecentre
You will be responsible for ensuring that Business Intelligence, reporting strategy and Data Quality considerations are embedded throughout the PAS implementation. This includes understanding the complex dependencies between system design, data capture, operational processes, statutory reporting, clinical coding, performance management and analytical requirements to ensure the programme delivers high\-quality, trusted information from day one.

Main duties

  • Develop and maintain project plans, risk logs, and reporting, ensuring clear governance and oversight

  • Ensure robust stakeholder engagement across divisions and corporate services

  • Identify and address barriers to delivery, supporting teams through change and transformation

  • Contribute to the wider EPR Programme project delivery
*BI \& Reporting Project Workstream:*
  • Co\-ordinate the delivery of projects within Business Intelligence, Reporting and Data Quality EPR workstream, within the EPR Programme, helping to ensure that reporting requirements, information needs, data quality standards are fully integrated into the EPR design and implementation process

  • Support the development and delivery of the Trust's EPR reporting strategy, ensuring operational, clinical, performance and statutory reporting requirements are identified, prioritised and incorporated into system design, configuration, and testing

  • Support the development of the data migration strategy, ensuring appropriate mitigations are in place and escalated through programme governance where required

  • Work closely with Business Intelligence, Clinical Coding, Data Quality, Operational and Clinical teams to understand the impact of system design decisions on data capture, reporting outputs, data quality and downstream data flows

  • Support the Data Quality team to ensure data quality considerations are embedded throughout the programme lifecycle, including process redesign, system configuration, testing, training, go\-live readiness, and benefits realisation
*Patient Encounters Project Workstream:*
  • Support the delivery of the PAS\-related projects within the EPR Programme including admmisisons, transfers and discharges. Ensure dependencies between PAS functionality, data quality, business intelligence, statutory returns, and performance management are fully understood, managed, and communicated throughout the programme

  • Coordinate requirements gathering, system configuration, testing and go\-live activities

  • Maintain project plans, documentation and reporting, ensuring alignment with programme governance

  • Monitor and manage risks, issues and dependencies within the PAS workstream

  • Support data quality improvements to ensure accurate patient records and reporting

  • Work closely with Emergency Care, Inpatients and Outpatients, Hospital Administration and Data \& Analytics

Essential person specification requirements

Training \& Qualifications:

  • University degree or equivalent professional/ managerial qualification or experience

  • PRINCE2 foundation project management qualification or equivalent project management qualification
Experience:
  • Demonstrable experience of managing simple to complex projects within timescales and budget

  • Experience of providing project documentation and report writing including business case and option appraisals

  • Experience of delivering successful business change activities

  • Experience of managing risk and issues and putting in place mitigations or exceptions

  • Experience of working both independently and in a team orientated collaborative environment

  • Experience working within an IM\&T environment

  • Ability to provide strategies and plans for delivery of the benefits and outputs of the project
Knowledge and Awareness:
  • Must have a good knowledge and understanding of the common key components of project methodologies

  • Ability to develop and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders internally and externally

  • Well developed leadership and communication skills

  • Demonstrable understanding of managing project finance.

  • Uses evidence to make improvements and seeks out innovation

  • Analysing complex information

  • Awareness of own limitations

  • Ability to manage and deliver to deadlines and within resources

  • Ability to prioritise conflicting demands
