Hannigan Dental Care is seeking an experienced, organised and proactive Senior Dental Nurse to join our friendly team in a varied role combining clinical dental nursing with wider responsibilities including ordering, procurement, stock management, governance and practice support.
This role is ideal for an experienced dental nurse who enjoys both hands\-on clinical dentistry and contributing to the smooth and efficient running of a modern dental practice.
The Role
As a Senior Dental Nurse, you will work across both clinical and non\-clinical responsibilities, helping maintain excellent patient care while supporting the wider organisation of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties
- Chairside dental nursing across general dentistry and advanced procedures
- Supporting clinicians during clinical sessions
- Surgery preparation and day\-to\-day clinical organisation
- Maintaining high standards of patient care and professionalism
- Managing practice ordering and procurement systems
- Monitoring stock levels and clinical supplies
- Managing ordering budgets responsibly
- Liaising with clinicians regarding stock requirements
- Working with suppliers, obtaining quotations and sourcing best\-value products
- Supporting purchasing efficiency and expenditure monitoring
- Supporting policies, procedures and practice protocols
- Assisting with audits, SOPs and infection control systems
- Supporting governance and inspection preparation
- Maintaining high standards of compliance and organisation
- Qualified and GDC\-registered Dental Nurse
- Previous dental nursing experience
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Confidence with ordering, stock management and budgeting
- Good numerical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and prioritise workload
- Comfortable undertaking both clinical and non\-clinical responsibilities
- Previous Senior Dental Nurse experience
- Implant nursing experience
- Dental radiography qualification
- IV sedation and/or inhalation sedation experience
- Governance, audit or inspection preparation experience
- Familiarity with digital dentistry workflows
