<h3><strong>Team mission</strong></h3>
<p>At the Central Data Products team, our mission is to build, operate, and drive adoption of horizontal data products that empower multiple clusters across GetYourGuide.</p>
<p>We are a horizontal team within central services, and our products are pivotal to the entire flywheel: Consumer, Growth, and Supply. We own the systems that decide how our marketplace is understood and organized: location and travel category tagging that powers landing pages, the landing page eligibility framework that unlocks marketing efficiency at scale, destination maps and travel-relevance models that steer supply acquisition into untapped markets, and the Customer Lifetime Value model that shifts the company from short-term revenue optimization to long-term customer value. Many of these systems are LLM-based and running in production today.</p>
<p>As the Senior Data Science Manager of Central Data Products, you will lead the vision, strategy, and execution of a portfolio of data and ML products used across the company. Your team is senior and cross-functional (Data Scientists, MLOps Engineers, and a Product Manager), and its output is measured in company-level business impact, not in models shipped.</p>
<h3>Your mission:</h3>
<ul>
<li>Develop innovative data products that not only enable suppliers to delight our customers but also drive the success of our company.</li>
<li>Take full ownership of projects, guiding them from the initial business challenge to the deployment of production code. This includes:</li>
<ul>
<li>Analyzing large datasets to uncover meaningful insights</li>
<li>Building and maintaining robust data pipelines</li>
<li>Establishing rigorous evaluation and monitoring strategies, as well as in-production guardrails. Monitoring and optimizing data products after deployment</li>
</ul>
<li>Contribute to the development of our machine learning infrastructure and help establish best practices that will shape our future.</li>
<li>Work closely with cross-functional technology and business teams, leveraging your unique perspective to solve complex and exciting problems.</li>
<li>Support the continuous improvement and growth of our team, including participating in recruiting efforts to bring in new talent.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Your toolkit:</h3>
<ul>
<li><strong>Machine Learning.</strong> You have 5+ years of experience deploying ML models in production coupled with a solid understanding of ML techniques and their practical applications. Experience deploying and maintaining ML models in production is a must.</li>
<li><strong>Analytics. </strong>Ability to turn data into actionable insights for business stakeholders. Experience with hypothesis testing and proficiency in analytics tools (e.g., pandas/polars) and SQL/Spark.</li>
<li><strong>Experience with LLMs and Agentic AI.</strong> You have experience working in production with prompt design, tool use, orchestration (e.g., LangChain), retrieval/RAG, evaluator design, guardrails, and tracing/observability is a plus.</li>
<li><strong>Software Engineering Proficiency in Python.</strong> Knowledge of distributed machine learning and computing frameworks (e.g., Spark) is beneficial.</li>
<li><strong>Business Acumen. </strong>You have experience in a fast-paced business environment, demonstrating result-driven work.</li>
<li><strong>Communication. </strong>Strong skills in explaining complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li>
<li>An advanced degree in a quantitative field or equivalent practical experience.</li>
</ul>
