How you'll make a difference
You will lead credit risk forecasting and stress testing initiatives, whilst work closely with Finance and Commercial to help ensure the Corporate Plan remains within risk appetite. You'll develop and lead a team of high performing credit risk specialists and drive a culture aligned to The Society's behaviours. Champion the use of data driven solutions to optimise risk/reward/operational efficiency.
What will you bring to the role?
- Experience of managing and developing a professional team to high performance standards.
- Strong experience in credit risk management, including portfolio analysis, forecasting and stress testing.
- Deep understanding of IFRS9, ICAAP and financial planning processes and experience of delivering stress testing/ICAAP exercises.
- Broad and comprehensive knowledge of the financial services industry and associated regulatory landscapes.
- Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic and uncertain environment, making sound judgements under pressure.
- Highly developed analytical and problem\-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear insight.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to balance risk, return and customer considerations.
