Senior Civil Risk Engineer – London

We are currently seeking to recruit a Senior Civil Risk Engineer based in London. The role will involve managing accounts for multi\-national organisations primarily in construction sector.

The Role:

Investigating, analysing, and project managing the risk engineering program for construction project insurance risks.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

• Review of technical documentation

• Prepare risk summary and probable maximum loss assessments


• Develop risk engineering programmes for insured clients taking into consideration the needs of all stakeholders


• Create and manage tender process for third parties


• Arrange individual risk engineering surveys and coordinate and manage the execution of surveys on a global basis


• Manage survey recommendations to mutual agreeable conclusion


• Review progress reports and summarise for insurers


• Provide technical support to clients


• Maintain all risk management team tracking systems


• Manage risk engineering budget


• Maintain technical competency


• Deliver technical presentations – case specific and external knowledge sharing


• Contribute towards a technical article within ‘integrated’, Integra’s bi\-annual magazine

Knowledge, skills \& experience required:

• Extensive experience working as an engineer within chosen industry sector


• Degree (or equivalent) Civil Engineering. Additional qualifications in risk management or relevant accreditations would be considered favourably


• Self\-starter, with good interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively relate to individuals at all levels – from site technicians up to company CEOs


• Proven ability to write detailed reports of a varied technical nature


• Member of engineering associations is preferable


• Experience of working with international engineering standards and codes


• Working knowledge of fire protection and detection systems


• Minimum of two years experience with either an insurance company, broker or independent engineering firm working with the insurance sector
