Senior Care Assistant (Nights)

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high\-quality care to individuals in need, particularly seniors in care homes or similar settings. This position requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead and supervise care plans effectively.

Duties

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.


• Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to the specific needs of each client.


• Supervise and support clients in their daily routines, ensuring their safety and well\-being at all times.


• Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to provide updates on care progress.


• Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health or behaviour to relevant personnel.


• Foster a positive environment that encourages independence and dignity for all clients.


• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to senior care and caregiving best practices.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in caregiving or senior care is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.


• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide others effectively.


• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on empathy and understanding.


• A proactive approach with the drive to ensure the highest standards of care are met consistently.


• Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining client records is advantageous but not mandatory.


• A genuine passion for helping others and making a positive impact on their lives.
