Job Summary
As a Senior Care Assistant at Lyndhurst Residential Care Home, you will play a vital role in providing high\-quality care and support to our residents in a care home setting.

Your primary responsibility will be to assist with daily living activities, ensuring the comfort and well\-being of elderly individuals. You will work closely with the care team to implement care plans and promote a safe, nurturing environment that enhances the quality of life for our residents.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.

  • Support residents in daily activities, including meal preparation and feeding.

  • Support with administration of medication and have knowledge of safe dispensing and storage of medication.

  • Maintain accurate records of residents' care plans and progress.

  • Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the care team to ensure a collaborative approach to care.

  • Supervise junior staff and provide guidance as needed to ensure high standards of care are maintained.

  • Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in senior care.
Skills
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.

  • Leadership abilities to supervise and mentor junior staff members within the care home environment.

  • Experience in developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual resident needs.

  • Proficiency in IT systems for maintaining records and documentation related to resident care.

  • A compassionate approach towards senior care, demonstrating empathy and patience at all times.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being capable of taking initiative when required.

Pay: £13\.50 per hour

Expected hours: 37\.0 per week
