Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to provide high\-quality care and support during daytime hours within a care home setting. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well\-being of residents throughout. The candidate will have knowlege and experience of a senior role and are able to work in partnership with multdiciplinary teams. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring assistance with daily living activities while maintaining their independence and dignity.
Duties
- Monitor residents’ wellbeing, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to residents' needs or emergencies, including assisting with mobility or personal care if required.
- Maintain accurate records of residents’ conditions, incidents, and any care provided during the shift.
- Assist with medication management in accordance with care plans, under supervision.
- Support residents with their routines and ensure their environment is safe and secure.
- Liaise effectively with all staff to ensure continuity of care.
- Keep accurate documentation of any incidents or concerns during the shift.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of communal areas as needed.
- Previous experience working in a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge of medication administration and digital eMAR systems.
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for supporting residents outside the care home if necessary.
- Good understanding of care plans and ability to follow prescribed procedures accurately.
- Ability to liase with external professionals in order to seek quality care and provision for the residents.
- Proficiency in basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with residents, colleagues, and families.
- Strong organisational skills with an organised approach to work during night shifts.

Shift hours \- 8am\-10pm.
Pay: £12\.71 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Walsall WS1 3JE: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
- Senior care: 1 year (preferred)
