Greystones Residential Care Home ais seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Care Assistant to oversee and coordinate care services specialising in senior care. The successful candidate will play a vital role in leading a team of care staff, ensuring the delivery of high\-quality, personalised care to residents and support the home management team. The Senior Care Assistant will be responsible for supervising daily care operations, developing care plans, and maintaining effective communication with residents, families, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of care assistants, ensuring they deliver compassionate and professional care at all times.
- Oversee the implementation and review of personalised care plans in accordance with residents’ needs and preferences.
- Coordinate daily activities within the care home, ensuring smooth operational functioning.
- Support residents with their daily routines, promoting independence whilst respecting their dignity.
- Foster a positive environment by encouraging teamwork and maintaining high standards of care.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including infection control protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care, handovers and incident reports.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, external healthcare professionals, and team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Assist with training and mentoring new staff members to uphold organisational standards.
- Proven supervising experience within a care home or senior care setting is essential.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Experience in developing and implementing personalised care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of IT systems used for documentation and scheduling purposes is desirable.
