Senior Care Assistant

Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Agency Senior Care Assistant to join our team. In this vital role, you will provide high\-quality, person\-centered care to our residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well\-being. As a senior member of the team, you will also take on supervisory responsibilities, supporting and mentoring junior staff while promoting a positive and respectful environment. Your leadership will help us deliver exceptional care that makes a real difference in our residents’ lives.

Duties

• Deliver compassionate, personalized care to residents in accordance with individual care plans and preferences


• Supervise and support junior care staff, fostering teamwork and maintaining high standards of care


• Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility, ensuring dignity and independence


• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, including updating care plans and recording observations


• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery


• Support the implementation of health and safety protocols to create a safe environment for all


• Use IT systems to update records, manage schedules, and track resident progress efficiently

Qualifications

• Proven experience in senior or complex care settings within a care home environment


• Supervising or leadership experience in a healthcare or social care setting


• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect empathetically with residents and team members


• Knowledge of care plans, safeguarding procedures, and health \& safety regulations


• Valid driving license preferred for supporting residents’ outings or appointments


• IT literacy skills for managing electronic records and documentation effectively


• Demonstrated understanding of senior care needs and best practices for supervision

Pay: £17\.00\-£18\.00 per hour
