Senior Business Development Executive

We’re looking for a senior closer to help scale technology that genuinely helps the NHS and healthcare providers fix one of their biggest headaches — staffing — and to be paid uncapped for doing it well.
We’re AppLocum. We’re transforming how healthcare organisations hire, by combining a full\-service staffing agency with smart, modern workforce technology. We’re scaling fast, and we need a senior Business Development Executive with a track record to match — someone who works smart, builds trust quickly, and consistently turns conversations into closed deals.
The Opportunity
This is a senior, high\-ownership role in a high\-growth business — not a faceless dialling factory. You’ll own new business across the healthcare sector end to end: finding prospects, opening doors at senior level, leading commercial conversations, and closing deals across our tech\-enabled workforce platform and our traditional placement services.
You’ll work directly with the leadership team, help shape how we sell, and — as we grow — have a clear path towards leading and mentoring others. If you want real influence, real autonomy and uncapped reward, this is built for you.
Essential Requirements
These two are non\-negotiable. Please only apply if you meet both:
- Proven sales track record. You can clearly evidence consistent success in a target\-driven sales or business development role — ideally selling both SaaS and services. We’ll want to hear about deals you’ve won and targets you’ve beaten.
- Graduate, 2:1 minimum. You hold a bachelor’s degree at 2:1 classification or above.
A Natural Sales Professional
- Passionate about sales, business development, and achieving results
- Comfortable making high\-volume outbound calls and leading commercial conversations
- Driven, competitive, and motivated by targets and commission
- Confident communicating with stakeholders at all levels
- Able to build rapport quickly and influence decision\-making
- Skilled at asking the right questions and identifying client needs
- Self\-motivated with a “go\-getter” mentality
- Comfortable working in a fast\-paced, high\-growth environment
- Resilient, adaptable, and able to handle objections confidently
- Strong business awareness with the ability to spot growth opportunities
- Analytical thinker who can use data and insights to improve performance
- Tech\-confident and comfortable using CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and web\-based platforms
- Identify and engage prospective clients across the healthcare sector
- Lead outbound outreach — calls, emails and follow\-ups — and own senior\-level commercial conversations
- Understand client challenges and present the right solution — tech platform and placement services
- Build and protect strong, long\-term client relationships and grow key accounts
- Own the full sales cycle from first contact through to close
- Support onboarding and adoption of our self\-management platform
- Use CRM data and sales insights to sharpen performance and forecast accurately
- Consistently achieve and exceed monthly sales targets
