We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Bio Medical Engineer to join our Finance Department. This role is based in the field., covering the South East Region.
THE ROLE
Responsible for servicing and repair of all Medical Equipment covered by the overarching contracts awarded to Avensys UK Ltd. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a growing company within the medical equipment industry..
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
- Undertake scheduled PPM Maintenance, Servicing and Modification
- Undertake Emergency Repair and Rectification Partake in the Company on call rota system, as required by the business
- Ensuring best practise in the maintenance, control and observance of engineering process and procedures for Servicing and Repair
- Ensuring engineering activities are undertaken using appropriate engineering safety precautions and standards
- Mentoring and developing Apprentices, Junior Engineers and Engineers
- Management of Spare parts required for the Servicing and Repair
- Ensuring high standards of Engineering Hygiene are always maintained
- Operating in accordance with Company Policy and Procedures
- Liaising with Contracts team for Externally Supported Equipment and third\-party maintenance contracts
- Providing the appropriate Clinical Staff with the latest technical advice and assistance
- Control of Test Equipment and inventories
- The control of all equipment publications and manufacturers technical information, ensuring that all amendments are carried out as necessary
- Ensuring that MHRA Device Alerts are read, and Serious Equipment Failure signals are actioned where necessary
- Provide remote and on\-site technical support to other METs
- Produce Avensys Equipment Support Procedures
Extensive experience in Bio Medical Engineering Able to communicate with internal staff and key contacts at contracts to ensure clear passage of information Attention to detail Initiative and drive to work independently Planning, time management, administration, and organisational skills IT literacy including Microsoft Office Full UK Driving Licence (including Manual transmission)
THE TERMS
Contract Term: Permanent Hours of Work: 37\.5 per week, Monday to Friday \- 1 hour unpaid lunch break Annual Leave: 25 days holiday \+ bank holidays (rising with service to a maximum of 28 days)
Salary: £45,000\.00 \- £47,000\.00 (dependent on experience)
