Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the smooth operation of our busy establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a comprehensive understanding of food production, cooking, and food safety standards. Responsibilities
- Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and high standards of service.
- Supervise and motivate staff, including servers, kitchen personnel, and baristas, fostering a positive team environment.
- Coordinate food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring quality control and timely delivery of dishes.
- Manage customer service interactions, resolving any issues promptly to maintain guest satisfaction.
- Support in training new staff members and conducting ongoing staff development programmes.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies across all areas of the restaurant.
- Assist with inventory management, stock ordering, and waste reduction initiatives.
- Contribute to menu planning and development in collaboration with culinary staff.
- Proven experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles within hospitality settings.
- Strong background in food production, cooking, serving, and food preparation.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
- Previous experience in kitchen operations or culinary roles is highly desirable.
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure.
- Hospitality experience with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Barista experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Supervising experience within a busy restaurant environment is preferred.
- A proactive attitude with excellent communication skills and a professional demeanour.
